Ty retailers across the country are receiving the following notes from their reps:
From: Ms. Janie
They will not be placing orders on the first of the month, they have been asked to wait until Thursday, July 5th. They have been informed that Ty has introduced new product at the Dallas show last weekend. These products and the introduction are considered a preview and will not be officially introduced until later. It is not known at this time if all products will be available for order in July. Some are assuming that there may be a slight delay in the Beanie Boppers and possibly the Birthday Beanies. Only TYME will tell, Ms. Janie

Hi Ms. Janie: There is another internet fraud case in the works. If any of your readers have sent money or used Paypal to pay for auctions with the following people and have not gotten their merchandise, I would love to hear from them. We currently have 17 victims and $3765 paid to date with no merchandise sent. This family was selling everything from toys to video movies, to electronic equipment, to fish aquariums, to medical supplies. The list goes on and on. The sellers used the names of: James Warner Sr, and James Warner Jr. The emails used were paperboy6073@yahoo.com, BIGJIM126@aol.com, shirley337@webtv.net, and MOVIEMAMA2001@YAHOO.COM. The Ebay and Yahoo names were "PaperBoy6073", "Jesse James", and "MovieMama2001". A complaint has been filed with the Sheriff's office in Big Rapids, MI about the case and with the FBI. If your readers want to file a complaint directly with the FBI as well as contact me please have them file at this website www.ifccfbi.gov. Thanks, PJ Rundall, prundall@home.com.

Chicago-AP -- He promised them discounts on Beanie Babies, Pokemon cards and Furbies but he didn't deliver -- and now he's going to prison. A Chicago judge has sentenced Steven Cross to 15 years in prison. Cross admitted he swindled hundreds of people out of a total of 275-thousand dollars by promising them discounts on Beanie Babies, Pokemon cards and Furbies. Others lost money when they sent him money to join the International Beanie Babies Club -- which never existed. Cross told customers that if they paid him 20 dollars in advance, they would get a new Beanie Baby every four months. But only a few were ever delivered. Read the article HERE

Lawmakers Focus on Net Auction Fraud
From: Ms. Janie
Two House members asked online auction companies Tuesday about how they fight fraud. According to a recent study by the Internet Fraud and Complaint Center, over 64 percent of Internet fraud (news - web sites) complaints in the latter half of 2000 were about auctions. The Federal Trade Commission recently singled out online auctions as one of the most common Internet scams. In letters to the three largest Internet auction houses - eBay, Yahoo! and Amazon - House Commerce chairman Billy Tauzin, R-La., and Rep. Heather Wilson, R-N.M., asked the companies to make a legislative wish list to Congress. Specifically, legislators want to learn more about the process of ``shilling,'' in which a seller's friends run up the price of an item. eBay spokesman Kevin Pursglove said that in the early days of the site, eBay allowed shilling. ``A shill was permitted to whet the appetite of bidders,'' Pursglove said. ``As the site grew, more and more people came to eBay with less than desirable motives.'' The company also lets people sell regular items for a fixed price rather than using an auction. Those sales are less prone to fraud and account for about 30 percent of eBay listings. Amazon also encourages fixed-price sales, according to a spokeswoman. eBay chief executive officer Meg Whitman will meet with Tauzin Wednesday on Capitol Hill to talk about auction fraud. No future hearings or legislation are scheduled, said Jon Tripp, a Commerce Committee spokesman. View HERE

Tennis shoes, Lego blocks help scientist
From: Bean eWonderland
Forget the buoys. One oceanographer is using Nike shoes and Lego blocks to measure ocean currents. Curtis Ebbesmeyer and his partners at Seattle-based Evans and Hamilton, Inc., design and manufacture instruments that measure ocean currents. Until 1990, Ebbesmeyer dropped buoys and drift cards into the sea to track currents without giving much thought to what the ocean already had adrift. Now he's using what's already there. Each year, millions of items -- everything from running shoes to Beanie Babies -- cross the world's oceans aboard container ships. But storms and other mishaps cause more than 10,000 containers to fall overboard and spill their cargo. Full Story

UK Gripe

Tracey writes: I am a UK reader and I'm totally fed up that once again Tradee is only available to US - Speckles still can't be ordered here in the UK either so I don't see why Tradee should be any different.  I have set this as my "Ask TY" question and suggest that you get your non-US readers to do the same.  Maybe then they will see it as an issue.

FROM: UNDERGROUND BEAN
"This Queenie-Beanie person has no sympathy from me. This is the same person who went on eBay and sold tickets to the Cubs game with the Addison Beanie giveaway to families with young children cheap on the condition that "all promotions become property of the company," i.e. her! I am sure that she caused many small children to cry when they had their Beanie taken away. Furthermore, I don't believe that principles or fears for the livelihood of "hard working Ty employees with families" have anything to do with her angst. She's worried about money, nothing more! Freedom of the press does not equate to freedom of the Beanie market. That is ludicrous! Obviously, she knows that if she turns in her source for the Tradee bears that she is cutting her own throat as far as her connection for getting employee exclusives and other leaked Beanies. This person has made her living buying such things off the Ty employees. Now, this time, she finally got caught buying a leaked Beanie and selling it.  Blessed be"

Tradee is still the subject of many sites as Queenie Beanie (the trader who first got her hands on Trade and offered them for auction on eBay about a week ago). As many of you know, she was asked to return the Beanies to Ty after they were given to her by a source at Ty. Now, Ty is still in pursuit of Queenie Beanie, even threatening a lawsuit against her because she will not reveal her source. Two websites have emailed us to share their letter and response from Queenie Beanie on this situation. I will post both links below so that you may view what has happened with this entire process, and also because Queenie Beanie is in need of your help!

Hi,
More graphics found! The graphics, viewable at the links on our site, show that the new bear Tradee was actually in process of production as of 7th June when these images were uploaded to the Ty server. Also shown is an image of a page layout meant for Ty Trade, featuring Speckles, Sunny and Periwinkle, which demonstrates that these Beanies were initially meant to only be ordered through the Ty Trade site. Anyone know what the Ty Trade Exchange is/was?

Birthday Beanie Collection - similar to the zodiac line - They all have the same tri colored body, there is one for each month. All of these are bears and are made to look like the newer styles. May example - it has a green head & green feet with a green stone for a nose. I believe that the feet and head color will change as the months change along with the stone color.

=WHAT A WONDERFUL VACATION!!=
We drove to Tampa Friday (June 16th) to visit my Mom and after arriving we all went swimming in her pool after we got there. We had a nice visit there. We left on Sunday to go visit Mark's parents which live about an hour and half from my Mom. Stayed the night there and  came back to Mom's on Monday afternoon. We went out to Macaroni Grill (my favorite place to eat) for dinner and came back to swim some more. Tuesday we just visited a bit and did some running around. Wednesday morning at about 7am we left to go to Disney World. After checking into our hotel we were off on our Journey. The kids were so excited, but so were me and my Mom. :o) It was quite HOT during our visit but we were able to take advantage of "FAST PASS" and that was wonderful. Saved some time standing in line which is always welcomed. Brandon loved Dumbo and the Flying Tea Cups. Jennifer and Robbie loved Space Mountain and Splash Mountain. I was soaked thoroughly from Splash Mountain as Jennifer and I sat in the front car. I was soaked all the way through my undies. LMBO We spent 2 days at Disney and on the 2nd day we used our "PARK HOPPER" passes to go over to Epcot. Each day we had our afternoon storms as is always the case in Florida. We only went on a few things at Epcot as we were running out of time. I recommend the "Honey I shrunk the Audience" ride. LOL On our way out while the skies were VERY dark Mark spotted a funnel cloud. Jennifer and Robbie were totally panicked. I took out my camera and got a great shot of the tornado. We ran up the Monorail ramp to leave and when the monorail started to depart they stopped, keeping us under the cover of the Monorail station until it was safe to leave. What an experience. Luckily the Tornado didn't touch down but it was quite a site standing there at Epcot watching this funnel rotate a short distance away. That was close enough for me. Whew!!

Now for the absolute BEST part of our Disney World trip: My Mom booked a dinner with the characters which was originally going to be on Jennifer's birthday until we had to move our vacation a week. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone that has children and goes to Disney. The dinner with the characters was at the Contemporary Resort. What a gorgeous Hotel. Now we know why it's so expensive to stay there. The kids were so excited!! They got to meet up close, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald Duck, and Chip & Dale. They come to visit the kids at the tables during dinner. It was soooooo cool!! Mom and I were crying so much. It was such a treat to watch the kids faces light up when these characters came to the table to greet them. Brandon was in a high chair and each of the characters, when they came by, got right down there at his level and gave him a BIG hug. He kissed Mickey & Minnie on their noses. Too cute!! I'm in tears now reliving it. We got some awesome pictures which I will share with you when we get my scanner to work, which will be soon I hope. :o) Dinner was great. They had treats for kids, treats for big kids. Prime rib sliced to perfection, other gourmet dishes, Mickey Mouse Macaroni & Cheese (too cute), little tiny hot dogs, etc. Very good food!! The desserts were pretty terrific too. Jennifer was "Mickey's Special Guest of the Hour" when they announced her birthday. They brought her desert with a Mickey Mouse shaped chocolate. In the middle of taking pictures my camera battery decided to quite working. I was in the middle of taking a picture of Mark with Minnie Mouse. Would have been a great picture but couldn't get it. Mom went to the gift shop there in the Contemporary and paid $19 each for two portable cameras. The kind you can get for $5.99 at the drug stores. When leaving we had some more picture moments. Brandon was jumping up and down in front of Goofy and Donald Duck and kept saying "I'm so excited!!". LOL He even said to Donald Duck, "I Love You!!". Mom and I lost it once again and were crying uncontrollably. ;o)

Sorry that was so long. I just wanted to share with you our great vacation. I'm sure I forgot something.. but this will give you an idea of how much fun we had.

==June 23, 2001==
I'm home!! News updates and site updates will go back to normal starting tomorrow. I'm just too tired to try and do any updates right now. :o) It's been a long 8 hour trip home with 3 kids in the van. LOL

HEATHER OF THE DAILY BEAN SHARES THE FOLLOWING:
Hi All!

Here is what I just received from my retailer friend in Dallas:

Dallas Trade Show Report: If an order is placed today it is considered part of your July order. Only retailers who visit the shows may get these. There were a lot of people at the show and it is very exciting for both retailers and collectors. I tried my best to write down the most accurate info as possible. I messed up on some of the names however the basic idea is given. I have just returned from the show and I will go back after some lunch. The following information is as accurate as I could get. There were many people looking at the new products so it was hard to get an individual description of each.

Beanie Boppers: These critters are approximately 12" long. They come with birthdays, places of birth, and little verses. There are six of these. In my opinion these are much cuter than the Kids.
        1) Sassy Star
        2) Lovable Lulu
        3) Rockin' Rosie
        4) Cookie Candy
        5) Pretty Perry
        6) Huggable Holly

        Sassy Star
        Born: December 4th - Place of Birth: Sarasota, Florida
        Verse: She likes going to the mall, gel pens and platform shoes.

        Lovable Lulu
        Born: July 17th - Place of Birth: Naperville, Illinois
        Verse: She likes popcorn, doing crafts, and unicorns.

        Rockin' Rosie
        Born: October 11th - Place of Birth: Dallas, Texas
        Verse: She likes horseback riding, telling secrets, and sleepovers.

        Cookie Candy
        Born: May 20th - Place of Birth: Walnut Creek, California
        Verse: She likes boys, pink lip-gloss, and talking on the phone.

        Pretty Perry:
        Born: August 7th - Place of Birth: Tyson's Corner, VA
        She likes posters, green nail polish, and stuffed animals.

        Huggable Holly
        Born: Feb 3rd - Place of Birth: Overland Park, Kansas
        She likes soccer, body glitter, and drawing.

Classy the People's Beanie is now available for ordering. It is exactly as it looks on the Ty site with one addition: silver pin on its chest with the number one on it.

Celebration Beanie and Buddy: There is a Beanie and Buddy Celebration bear. Each has rainbow/Tye-dyed material with embroiderment on its chest. The embroiderment is of a Ty Heart with "15 Years" in it.

Birthday Beanie Collection: 12 styles that resemble the 12 months. Each month is a different color. By the time I arrived at the stands these were already moved around. I tried my best to combine a bear with a color. These are the colors available.
*       January: Blue
*       February: Pink
*       March: Dark Green
*       April: Purple
*       May: Green (lighter than March)
*       June: Orange
*       July: Turquoise
*       August: Yellow
*       September: Red
*       October: Orange (darker than June)
*       November: Brown
*       December: White

Beanie Babies: Only three "common" styles:
*       Darling: a cream laying down dog similar to Fetcher
*       Siamese: beige laying down cat similar to Purr
*       Bridget: pink poodle along the lines of Gigi

Beanie Buddies: Sunny, Periwinkle, Pugsly, Mellow, Luke, and Seamore

Ty Gear:
*       Groom has top hat and black shoes.
*       Bride has long dress, veil, and shoes.
*       Roller blader - similar to Snowboarder however with skates
*       Beach Outfit #1: Blue and Green with sunglasses
*       Beach Outfit #2: Orange with sunglasses

Attics: These will definitely help the dwindling support of the Attic line.
*       Elizabeth- Blue and white bear
*       Majestic- pretty lion that has the mane and tail similar to Mystic.
*       Michael - Brown bear green feet.
*       Meli - Bear with a long red dress with a slit up the side with a rose in her right ear.
*       Eva - Gray and white ballerina bear
*       Caboose - the white bear w/ hat and scarf (several retailers were commenting that he looks like an engineer)
*       Carmel - Cream colored bear.

Ty Classics: There are seven styles that are available. Unfortunately I could not get a good look at these I have no clue what their names are. I will go back later today after some lunch and I will try to get a better report ASAP.
*       1) dog
*       2) cat
*       3) bear
*       4) bear
*       5) dog
*       6) dog
*       7) bear

ARTICLE #2 FROM ABC NEWS SITE:

Attention lottery players: Odds of winning your way onto the list of the planet's wealthiest people are infinitesimal.

So how would you get on Forbes magazine's list of the world's richest people, the 15th annual version of which was released today?

Well, you're much more likely to inherit the wealth (L'Oreal heir Lilliane Bettancourt, No. 15). Cars, of course, can put you on the fast track to riches (BMW's Johanna Quandt, No. 12). Distilling spirits (Nobutada Saji, No. 48, of Japan's Suntory, a producer of alcoholic beverages) can buy you a lifetime's worth of champagne. And, as always, investing shrewdly (George Soros, tied for 50th) or fueling fads (Ty Inc.'s H. McDonald's Corp., the world's largest restaurant operator, is likely to shave its full-year 2001 earnings estimates on Friday amid continued currency pressures, lack of a blockbuster U.S. promotion and rising costs, restaurant analysts said on Wednesday.

He cited weak same-store sales in Germany and Italy, higher interest expense and rising beef costs. He also expressed concern that the company did not repeat its historically popular Teenie Beanie Baby Happy Meal promotion in this year's second quarter.

Since late last year, McDonald's profits have been hurt by a strong U.S. dollar overseas and the lingering effects of cattle diseases mad cow and foot-and-mouth, which have dampened European appetites for hamburgers. For the full story, go to: http://biz.yahoo.com/rf/010613/n13182533.html

Ms. Janie shares the following:
FBI: Net Fraud Reports Rising
From Beanie Baby auction scams to work-at-home pyramid schemes, reports of online fraud attempts have been filtering in steadily over the past year to the Federal Bureau of Investigation. In its first six months of operation, the Internet Fraud Complaint Center -- a joint venture launched in May 2000 by the FBI and the National White Collar Crime Center -- had collected more than 20,000 complaints from victims of online cons. This year, the center expects to exceed that figure by a wide margin. http://www.wired.com/news/business/0,1367,44452,00.html

Mystery Mouse Update
From: Bean eWonderland
So far nothing solid on the 'Mystery Mouse' article from yesterday. We have received several opinions which are all along the same line, the following is from Heather: "The mouse has a 5 generation tag. Of the 3 mice and or rat I could find that had a 5th generation tag was Tiptoe the mouse and the Zodiac Rat. The mystery mouse looks more like the Zodiac Rat then any of the other two. I am guessing that the mystery mouse could be a prototype for the Zodiac Rat".  Joe also points out that the tag has no name on it, this would suggest that it is indeed a prototype.

Mystery Mouse?
From: Bean eWonderland
Thought you may be interested in seeing these pictures of "Mystery Mouse" at least that's what I call him as there is no name on the Ty tag. I have had him for about 18 months. The fabric is the same colour as the original Lefty, he has silky material inside his ears and his nose is the same as Red Nose Roxie. I often wonder was he a prototype that didn't pass Tys' stringent standards. Any views on him would be appreciated. (Bean eWonderlands comment - I have not seen this one before, if anyone out there can help please email me) View Here:

Planet Beans Comments: I can see why it wouldn't pass "Ty's stringent standards". This thing is UGLY. LOL

Cheery Variation?
From: Bean eWonderland
Dear Bean eWonderland, I was out beanie shopping today and was able to get all the new releases.  I was looking at a Cheery bear and noticed a difference in the fabric. It has blue shading like clouds in the background fabric, I purchased and when I got it home to compare with the one I bought last month it is definitely different. The Cheery from last month has only white on the background, no blue shading. Has anyone else noticed any differences, is it a true variation in a new run
of fabric? Sincerely, Cory Riverside, Calif.

Cheezer, Fetcher, Cashew, and India Retire (it's about time!!) http://www.ty.com/announcements/ret_0612_cheezerfetchercashewindia.html

Planet Beans Comments:
Did you notice India in the retirement picture is of the BUDDY and NOT the BEANIE? ;o)

Additional Comments: It seems that Ty's webmaster caught the India Buddy error in the original retirement graphic. This has now been corrected.

Heather of the Daily Bean shares the following:
"
I just wanted to share something that one of my retailer friends shared with me... Below is what I have posted on my site: I've gotten word from my retailer friend that Issy may or may not be retired. Their Ty rep was just as clueless as we are on the topic of Issy. I guess this mystery will still have no ending for a while.. p.s. - No Issy's were received with their June shipment."

Beanie Wallpaper And Border
From: Randy of Beanieholics
"It's been interesting this past week at our home. It started with Theresa wanting to repaint the kitchen and hallway ceilings. This led to an antique mirror falling and shattering our aquarium. Then the painting tape stuck and pulled the wallpaper off the wall…well like we said…it was interesting. While looking at wallpaper boarder (due to the above events) Theresa ran across a 'Beanie Baby' design. Use the link below and then under "Select Wallpaper Design" select 'Beanie Babies'. You will find that several wallpaper and border designs will pop up." Click Here For More

Marc's Theories on Sassy Star & Beanie Boppers
Hello everyone!
     Here's my previous theory on Beanie Boppers. They would not be bobble-heads, but instead would be dancing Beanies that would "bop" to music! Somewhat like a Furby, these Boppers would be controlled by an infrared device, a remote control, that would be worn on the wrist as or like a watch. Didn't Ty apply for a trademark for watches? These would be called TYme-pieces. TYmex can't be used because then the TIMEX watch company would surely take Ty to court!

           Now that the name Sassy Star has surfaced, my theory on the Beanie Boppers has changed. Rather than dancing Beanie Babies, I think the Beanie Boppers line will be like the Diva Starz dolls that are out now. I forget who makes them but given "Sly"'s investigative reporting, the trademark categories of "plush toys, dolls, & doll accessories" seems to fit. The Boppers (Sassy and her friends) could be a "copy" of the Diva Starz dolls. I don't know if this would bring about an infringement lawsuit by the maker of those other dolls but isn't it fairly common when something is a "hit" that everyone else tries to copy it? For example, on TV, Survivor and Who Wants to be a Millionaire? were ratings phenomenons when they first hit the airwaves. Most or all of the game shows that flooded TV right after that time have long disappeared. Anyone remember Paranoia, Greed, Winning Lines, or Chance of a Lifetime? Survivor has also brought about a glut of "reality" shows which seems to be the current TV trend.

      Just wanted to add my two cents on the Beanie Bopper speculation! Feel free to put this on your site & in your newsletter! Have a great day!

Teenie Beanie Flashback
From: Beanieholics
* Sigh * No Teenie Beanies this year. It's a sad time. We realize that some collectors were not around a few years ago when Teenie Beanie Mania ran unchecked. It was really crazy back then, especially the first two promotions. To give you some insight into the Teenie madness, let's turn back the clock to June of 1998 when the following article appeared in the Dayton Business Journal. Click Here For More

The "Closet Collector" has sent in his latest journal entry! He talks of how monkeys may be old, but they will always be young at heart. http://www.heatherlea.com/articles/closet.htm Yup, you guessed it - he is talking of his monkeys again. It might be, it could be-- it will be: A Sox sweep!
From: Ms. Janie
On both sides of town are the hardcore fans--North Siders who can still mimic Jack Brickhouse's "He's got it, he lost it, he's got it, he lost it!" commentary during the replay of a Don Young circus catch in 1969, and South Siders who can remember when a giddy Harry Caray sang, "The White Sox are coming, tra-la-la, the White Sox are coming, tra-la-la," after a comeback victory against the Texas Rangers in 1972. And, both sides are backed by legions of more casual fans who are into pursuits like checking out the hotties, dancing in the aisles between innings or going to games for a Beanie Baby or bobble-head doll giveaway. http://www.suntimes.com/output/roeper/roep08.html

More Variations ?
From: Bean eWonderland
Jason writes: "Just picked up Mr. and the "backward" Patriot. I noticed something about him that I haven't read anywhere else.. Not only is his fabric backwards, but his tail is blue instead of red! Also, the manager of the Hallmark said that they didn't get all their boxes of Beanies which was extremely odd for them.  How he knew he didn't get them all is because they didn't receive a box with the shipping list!  He doesn't know WHAT they were supposed to receive, because there's nothing to tell him what was shipped to him". (thanks Jason).

More Variations 2?
From: Bean eWonderland
Marilyn also noticed the following whilst beanie hunting yesterday: "Just a small change in the bride bears that are showing up. Instead of having the ribbon with the roses just tied around the neck & left loose, the brides that arrived today have their bows fastened to the body at the back of the neck. It does keep the bow straight.

ISSY CURRENT ONCE AGAIN
The newsflash of Issy's retirement is gone. Have you noticed that Issy has been added back to the CURRENT list?! This is enough confusion for us collectors Ty. Is Issy retired or not?!

NOTE FROM MS. JANIE
Ty must be working overtime. I was surprised to see the newflash and June Beanie announcement removed around 11 PM 6-5-2001. I would say that Ty held true to form by warning us to expect the unexpected with the early retirement of Issy. Is Ty playing with us or did they make a mistake? Issy is now listed as current and the newsflash has been removed. It would appear that they are once again working on their site, possibly for the next surprise! Although this retirement caught a lot of collectors off guard there is a mixed reaction from those who never saw the bear. There are many elements that make a hobby exciting and early retirements have shown to be favorable and uplifting to the hobby.

Ty is in between a rock and a hard place! When a retirement is announced collectors scream and when he makes no announcements collectors scream! The golden boy must be pulling his hair out! I am convinced that they are doing everything humanly possible to get this hobby back on track. Unfortunately you can’t please everyone all of the time and if you please some of them some of the time you are doing better than most!

Many have asked if Beanies will ever return to the days of the late 90's. While I'm hesitant to compare the current trend to past trends I will say that the activity has increased and collectors seem to have been rejuvenated! I realize that there are a few who are disappointed in today's retirement, here's hoping you have the opportunity to purchase your Issy at a reasonable price! Ms. Janie

Issy New York is still current...

Message Id: 884479 adah writes: The Issy that you can get for staying at the hotel in New York is still current. I went to "find a friend" on the Ty home page and typed in Issy. I then selected beanie baby, selected all, and then selected bears. The result was 2 Issys. The first said current, I clicked on that one at the bottom of the poem it said "for registered guests only" The second one said retired, I clicked on that one and it didn't have anything below the poem. The second had to be the retail version. SO TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT. ISSY NEW YORK IS CURRENT AND RETAIL ISSY IS RETIRED. Beanie Boppers?
From: Bean eWonderland
I went to my local retailer in Syracuse NY, US today and she had cut a full page TY ad out of a trade magazine. In the center it read: "Coming Soon Beanie Boppers". Ok...so maybe Ty hasn't visited my site personally, but it is always such a coincidence that whenever I have a contest, the day after I announce winners and the prizes they won, he always retires at least on of those prizes. Take for instance when I gave Nectar to someone not too long ago, the next day it retired. Or when I gave away Buckingham Beanie a few months back...sure enough the day after I announced the winner Buckingham retired. It would be nice to think that Ty visited my site a time or two, but maybe it's just all a coincidence. So that brings me to this... Yesterday, PlanetBeans announced the winners of the Issy contest of which I sponsored. And guess what? ISSY RETIRED TODAY! Coincidence? I think NOT! LOL!!"

The RUMOR Mill is very active these days!
From: Ms. Janie
There are many reports circulating about new Buddies already in the warehouse. I have also received reports that this year's shows should be packed with new and interesting Ty products.

Buddies - Although I hope there are some new styles releases I'm also hoping that there is less than 6 styles introduced at a time. Collectors tend to get scared when a large amount hit the stores and prefer the smaller numbers, its also easier on our pocketbooks!

Kids - It certainly is about time for some NEW kids to be released. I would think that as long as Ty continues to design them to attract the teen audience they should sell well. The key to the kid line is introduce them, ship them immediately and then retire them before they start to sit and give a false sense and appearance that they are not collectible! In my opinion the Kids are highly collectible, can be used for many gift giving situations and offer a world of imaginary playtime. This line is perfect for all ages and teens love the SASSY, stylish look in Lovie and Shamrock!

Beanies - Four simple words! Bring on the BEARS!

Attics - This line is still very popular. Here's hoping new introductions are released in smaller quantities. BBOC - Summer is right around the corner and the

BBOC should be making an announcement soon. Could we see another Clubby or will this line offer us the unexpected? Ms. Janie
