A Gold "unnumbered" Fleece birthday card from Series 2 was found in PA! Remember that back in Series 1 there were a few unnumbered cards showing up such as some of the gold cards and some of the Original 9 cards. But this is considered an "error" card and it's value is determined solely on what someone is willing to pay for it. There are some people who collect error cards and are willing to pay premium prices for those. Then other collectors may consider them "worthless" or at least devalued because of the error.

Mystic the Unicorn Retires! Can we expect even more retirements over the next couple of weeks? Since there were so many new beanies to be released last month, I have a feeling that this is just the beginning of the retirements. Who will be next?   http://www.ty.com/mystic.html

McDonald's Teenie Beanie Promotion to Begin Next Friday!
On May 21st all over the country, McDonald's will once again host the extremely popular "Ty Teenie Beanie" promotion! Starting May 21st, the following teenies will be sold in this order: Freckles, Antsy (Ants), Smoochy, and Spunky. Beginning May 24th, Rocket, Iggy, Strut, and Nuts will be sold in order. The week of May 28th, the teenies will be Claude, Stretchy, Nook (Nanook), and Chip. But this year there is a very "special" surprise! After the Happy Meal promotion is over, running June 4-17, there will be the "International Bears" that will be available to purchase! These are a special version of the Ty Teenie Beanies and will be available to purchase for $2.49 with the purchase of any other meal. There will only be four "International Bears" and McDonald's is limiting 10 per purchase! Not a bad deal huh? The bears featured will be Maple, Glory, Britannia, and Erin. These bears are going to go VERY fast because it may be some people's only opportunity to own one of these highly sought after bears. Remember though, these will be the "teenie" versions. To read more about the promotion go to http://www.mcdonalds.com/collectibles/happymeal/toys/1999/5/index.html

Anything Goes on Ty's Cyberboard? Not Likely!
On Ty's new Cyberboard, there are a few areas such as the "Mixed Bag" that claim "no subject off limits here", yet I got my account revoked today when I tried to answer a Series 2 trading card question that specifically asked for a website that had prices on all the cards. Because of the fact that I personally HAVE a website that has price guides, I answered the person's question and then gave the address of this website...and BAMMO....I'm revoked! No warning, no slap on the hand, no nothing. I'm history!  When I went back to the board tonight to read some of the other posts, it appears that MANY people are having the problem of getting their accounts revoked for even lesser offenses. One person said theirs got revoked because they used the word "ugly" to describe one of the beanies! So, a word of warning about the new Cyberboard...read the guidelines....but expect to get your account revoked if you happen to say something that Ty doesn't agree with, because it doesn't seem to matter if you abide by the rules or not.
