We went to Walt Disney World the 3rd week of June 2001. The pictures you see with the characters were all taken at a special dinner we had to celebrate Jennifer's 12th birthday. The restaurant was called Chef Mickey and it was located in the Contemporary Resort Hotel at Disney World. I HIGHLY recommend this special dinner. My Mom and I had so much fun watching the kids faces light up. We were in tears a number of times but these were tears of happiness. It was just so special!! Jennifer was the "Mickey's guest of the hour" for her birthday celebration. It was really neat.. all of the characters would go around the restaurant waving their fabric napkins and getting everyone else to do it and then they made the announcement. You should have seen Jennifer's face. Priceless!! This restaurant was soooo cool. They had some gourmet items and Prime Rib sliced on the spot for the adults and things like mini hotdogs w/mini buns and Mickey Mouse shaped macaroni and cheese. The deserts were scrumptious. 

There weren't many pictures of Mark on this page because not many were taken of him. My camera battery went completely dead just as I had Minnie Mouse posed with him. I was heartbroken. That picture would have been so cute!! LOL We were quite tired during the dinner because we had been out in the hot Florida sun for about 9 hours at this point. This would explain our rather rugged appearance. <grin>

The picture of the funnel cloud was taken as we were leaving Epcot on our way to the Contemporary Resort for our special dinner. I wish I could have gotten some more pictures but it was a little closer to us than the picture shows. ;o) I took the picture as we were rushing to get on the monorail. You can see the monorail track in the picture. We were on the monorail but it wasn't safe to depart so we stayed under the monorail shelter until it was declared save to go. They made us wait on the monorail with the doors closed under the shelter for a good 5 minutes. The kids were pretty much freaking out. It was interesting to say the least. This is one vacation that I will have many memories of.
